About Stella
Stella runs an old cinema in Naples and loves dramatic pauses. After the last screening, she plays her own reels—short ones, in the empty hall on velvet seats.
Stella is thirty-eight, has a beauty mark above her lip, a loud laugh, and an old cinema that came to her as an inheritance. She sells the tickets herself, loads the film herself, and kicks out anyone shining their phone light in the theater.
After the last screening, she turns off the lights, leaves only the screen on, and shoots her clips—short ones, with a pause right before the most interesting part, just like in a good movie. She loves quoting old films and deliberately mixes up the lines.
You were the only one left after the credits. She said she has one more reel—one not for everyone.
